Document-ID 010808.02 ENG

Problem: The Application / Add-In does not start or displays a license error message:

The application displays a license error or works in demo-mode:

Cause:
The license file is missing, was renamed or cannot be read due to insufficient access rights. Also, the license may be expired, is for a different product or version, or the license file was modified.
Solution:
Replace the license file with the original one by copying it into the application folder (i.e."D:\Programs\EcoCom\EcoPrint\"). In order to prevent unintended changes to the license file you should mark it read-only and hidden. The license file can be read with any text editor (Notepad). You must not alter any data in the license file or save it from within a text editor.

The license verification displays a network error:

Cause:
You are using a network license, but your PC cannot access other PC's on their TCP/IP-Ports 80 and 81.
Solution:
Check the network connection and that you can access other PC's. If your PC is connected through other PC's via a Firewall (or a "Personal Firewall Software"), you need to open the local and remote ports 80 and 81 for UDP-protocol broadcasts (IP 255.255.255.255).

The license verification does not allow a further instance to be created:

Cause:
More users then in the license file specified want to open the application.
Solution:
Ask an other user to close his instance of the application and try again or purchase additional network licenses.
