EcoPrint eases printing of SolidWorks drawings:
For different printing tasks such as draft or final print, faxing,
archival or PDF-creation you define printing profiles which store
settings like output format and the printer to be used for each
SolidWorks sheet size. Unlike other batch printing utilities you
can also pre-define advanced settings like paper-bin, resolution
and color mode, to name a few.
This saves a lot of time because without EcoPrint one has to select
and verify each of these settings for every sheet of paper you have
to print out.
When EcoPrint is launched with open SolidWorks drawing documents,
it lists all sheets available for printing and highlights the current
one. You can then change the documents to be printed, select one
or several printing profiles and you are done.
In the batch mode you can select any number of files to be printed,
set the printer profile, number of copies and optionally verify
selected files with the fast integrated file-preview.
Print simultanously to several printers. For example you can set
up a PDF printer like Adobe Acrobat or Jaws PDF creator (formerly
Niknak) to always create a PDF-file copy of every print for digital
archival purposes.
Easily define header and footer entries for a batch of drawings
without hassling with SolidWorks dialog - even if the drawing does
not contain (or contains different) header/footer information.
For
drawing releases you can set up users with the "release" privillge.
When one of these users prints a drawing (or creates a TIF-file
etc.), EcoPrint can now add notes in the print such as the user
name, date, time or any fixed text.
