EcoNorm

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

What is EcoNorm?
EcoNorm is an Add-In for SolidWorks with extensive functionality in managing and working with standard parts.
What functionality does EcoNorm offer?
EcoNorm provides functionality in several areas:
organization of preferred and in-stock parts, a central repository for standard parts of various sources such as supplier parts, parts from other library vendors or own parts, automated insertion and mating of parts into your assemblies, assignment of proper descriptions for correct BOMs, and more.
EcoNorm is currently accompanied with a parts library consisting of over 100 DIN- and ISO-standard part families (over 10.000 part-geometries) as well as selected supplier parts.
Is EcoNorm working together with Toolbox, Cadenas or other libraries?
Absolutely, EcoNorm is an independent product. It can accompany existing libraries or import SolidWorks files from other libraries no matter if they are designed to have individual files for each part size or use configurations.
System requirements for EcoNorm:
EcoNorm works with Win 9x*, Win Me*, NT 4.0, Windows 2000 and Windows XP*, no special hardware requirements. Software: MDAC 2.5SP1 or higher (standard with Windows 2000 / XP), SolidWorks 2000 SP5 or higher.

* These operating systems have not been tested extensively, but we are not aware of any issues which would prevent EcoNorm from working with them.
