EcoNorm

Standard Parts Library and Manager

  • EcoNorm contains common standard parts like screws, washers, nuts, bolts, retaining rings, ball bearings etc. similar to DIN and ISO standards, more to follow.
  • Furthermore EcoNorm contains a variety of supplier parts and can be easily extended with existing parts or assemblies.
  • EcoNorm provides complete and detailed BOM descriptions (standard, size, material or other classification). Any data such as part-# or weight can be added and customized to your BOM-templates.
  • EcoNorm standard parts can be assigned with attributes showing availability in stocks or preferences.
  • EcoNorm is very flexible. The database is based on MS-Access and can be modified and extended to fit your needs
  • EcoNorm-parts can be automatically mated with existing holes, retaining-ring grooves etc.
  • Auto-Mating can be done with any number of holes, axis, sketch points or shafts simultaneously.
  • The mates persist should you need to change the size or even the standard of an inserted part
  • Even mating of O-rings in grooves is completely automatic
  • Additional functionality allows to easily create standard retaining ring grooves for shafts and holes
  • SPEED: EcoNorm standard parts are the fastest parts on the market. They were designed for large assemblies and are different from existing part libraries in two ways: first, they are pre-generated - there are no features and no configurations SolidWorks might need to regenerate should you need to enforce a complete regeneration of your assembly. Second, most parts are created in a special file format allowing for different detail grades on the parts.
  • Accurate drawings: for ball bearings we have a special detail grade which show sectioned ball bearings correctly with seals. With our bearings you won't have partly sectioned balls, hatch-problems or even subassemblies for a single bearing.
  • EcoNorm can be integrated into an existing PDM-System. For this EcoNorm can write data into the user definable file properties. The source for this data can be either be tables which were build or imported into the EcoNorm database or you can define rules upon which EcoNorm creates part-ID's, names, size and standard descriptions etc.
